Sarathi: Events 2009

With every passing year the annual events of Sarathi Socio Cultural Trust are getting more and more popular among the people of Bangalore. Started way back in 2004 in a very humble setup, it is one one of the grandest socio-cultural events in South Bangalore. The participation from the people of Bangalore, especially the youth, has increased a lot. Times of India had reported a crowd of about 10,000 people at last year's inaugural event of Sammad 2008, the five day long cultural fiesta organized by Sarathi around Durga Puja & Dussehra. It's our constant endeavor to retain the quality of the cultural events in years to come. We're committed to provide entertainment, fun and also a good cultural experience at all our events. We expect more participation from the people of Bangalore.

We're pleased to have Kingfisher Premium as the Main sponsor for all the events of this year.

Sarathi's events for 2009-10 commenced with the celebration of Rabindranath's birthday and Bengali New Year on 9th May at the Ranga Mandir Open Air Theater in NGV campus, Koramangala.

The main highlights of 2009's events are performances by Antara Chowdhury & Lopamudra Mitra at the Sammad 2009 on Ashtami (26th Sept, Saturday) and Navami (27th Sept, Sunday). For more details please refer to the "Professional Events".

As socially responsible citizens of India we, at Sarathi, are committed to show our solidarity and support to any social work. We have been patronizing the NGO Seva-in-Action since our inception. Apart from that every year we have a theme that speaks about our commitment to our society, world and environment we live in.

Last year's theme was 'Think Green'.

This year our theme is

Learn & Act

Learn about Social Initiatives & Act of your own

As a part of this theme we'd like to create awareness about social causes, learn about social initiatives, find a cause to contribute and connect to a vibrant community of like minded people.
